Fun & Fireworks

Fourth of July 2015The morning of the 4th was all about unwrapping and organizing the fireworks. The kids are used to this task—but since Marlboro Man’s best friends Bill and Tony were visiting, they were recruited, too!

Fourth of July 2015Todd loves Bill and Tony and kept them entertained.

Fourth of July 2015(And I made them egg-in-the-holes before they got started.)

(I know how to motivate men to work.)

Fourth of July 2015Here’s what I eventually filled these dispensers with: Lemonade, blackberry lemonade, lemonade, sangria, sangria, and sangria.

I labeled well!

(Oh my goodness, the fruit. It was potent.)

Fourth of July 2015As is usually the case, I got swept away with guests arriving, visiting with friends and family, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, eating jalapeno poppers, and eating peach cobbler that I didn’t even have a chance to take any photos of the party!

So I think I’ll just skip forward to the fireworks.

Fourth of July 2015The finale began when the first fuse was lit!

Fourth of July 2015Oh, Marlboro Man. Oh, Tim.

Fourth of July 2015You two have some serious issues.

Fourth of July 2015My goodness!

Fourth of July 2015The next morning, Marlboro Man and I got up bright and early and found Duke and Lucy playing in the icy drink trough.

They love any form of water!

Fourth of July 2015Then we decided to spend a romantic morning cleaning up the fireworks while the kids slept in a little.

Fourth of July 2015We sure know how to throw a classy party around here.

Fourth of July 2015Yep…classy. This pretty much sums it up.

Fourth of July 2015And this was breakfast when we were finished!

Which is why I always love cleaning up after the Fourth of July.

Hope you all had a fun and safe weekend!
